Citizens Alliance of North Dakota Launches Historic 100,000-Door-Knocking Campaign

Citizens Alliance of North Dakota (CAND) announced the launch of the largest door-knocking program in state history. The initiative aims to reach 100,000 doors across North Dakota in 2026, mobilizing grassroots support for conservative candidates committed to liberty and accountability. 

This campaign builds on CAND's 2025 success, in which volunteers knocked on nearly 18,000 doors, praising conservative legislators while providing an early advantage for 2026.

Founded by Executive Director Brandon Prichard, CAND is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting conservative values, fiscal responsibility, and limited government. The group endorses candidates who sign The Pledge, a commitment to principles such as protecting property rights, expanding educational freedom, and rejecting wasteful spending. 

With 32 current Pledge Signers in the North Dakota Legislature, CAND has become a force in exposing corruption and advocating for policies that prioritize North Dakotans over special interests.

Knocking on doors lies at the heart of CAND’s successful strategy, offering direct, personal engagement that digital ads and rallies often miss. This face-to-face approach builds trust and turns out voters who might otherwise stay home.

"Doors win wars," Prichard said. "The only way we save our country is one door at a time. That’s why we're building a grassroots army to elect champions who will fight for freedom in Bismarck."

In 2018, North Dakota saw only four competitive legislative races. Fast-forward to 2026, and that number has quadrupled to 16, fueled by growing conservative excitement and upcoming term limits. These limits will open seats, creating opportunities for new candidates aligned with the principles of liberty. Prichard sees this as a turning point. 

"Conservatives are energized, and the momentum is on our side," he stated. "With term limits around the corner, we're boosting fresh voices that will make North Dakota a true liberty state, free from the grip of left-wing Republicans who hide behind the party label."

CAND plans to target races in which conservative Pledge signers are challenging establishment figures, focusing on issues such as parental rights in education and property tax relief. Volunteers will knock on doors across the state to educate voters about candidates who sign The Pledge.

As North Dakota gears up for elections, CAND's door-knocking blitz could redefine grassroots politics in the state. With conservatives riding a wave of enthusiasm, the campaign promises to amplify voices calling for a liberty-focused future, one conversation at a time.
